Regular at-home dental care is an important component of your oral health. Good daily dental care habits should be established during childhood and include brushing your teeth at least twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled toothbrush.

Flossing is recommended at least once a day. Dental floss can remove food particles, plaque and bacteria that accumulate between the teeth, where brushing cannot completely reach.

After brushing and flossing, it is generally recommended to rinse your mouth with water. You may also wish to use an antibacterial, antiseptic mouthwash.

Regular dental exams and teeth cleanings with your dentist are also critical to your oral health. These checkups allow your dentist to provide a thorough cleaning, assess your dental health, and address potential issues before they become problematic.

Our general dentistry practice offers a wide range of preventive services and treatments for dental problems including cavities, missing teeth and periodontal disease. Our dentists are happy to answer your questions and providing you and your family with the information you need to build a strong dental hygiene routine.
