Digital x-rays are just one of the tools we use at our state-of-the-art dental practice. X-rays are a necessary part of keeping our patients healthy and can detect problems before they start. They reveal bone loss due to periodontal disease, show decay, impacted teeth, and abscesses, and help determine if you need a root canal or a filling.
There are several benefits to using digital x-rays, including:

  • Nearly simultaneous image production
  • 80 percent reduction in radiation received
  • Faster, more accurate diagnoses
  • Ability to use colour contrast in the image
  • No need for processing chemicals or film

Furthermore, digital x-rays are much safer and more effective than x-rays used to be. They can be used during pregnancy due to the very low amount of radiation received.

To stay abreast of the latest technology, Aesthetic Dental Studio now uses Schick digital x-rays. By allowing crisply detailed images, Schick technology gives Dr. Chee what he needs when looking beyond what he can see with his eyes. Schick is made for patient comfort and quick imaging results.

Digital x-rays will not be a substitute for a visual examination of your head, neck, and oral cavity, but they act as a tool to improve your overall dental health.
