Few of us have the perfectly straight smiles we'd love to be able to show off. We have long wanted to get our teeth straightened, but have held off because the only option was a period of wearing highly visible metal braces. Getting a good smile years from now doesn't seem worth it if we must endure a worse one in the meantime. Now the crookedness of our teeth will be even more visible. Not to mention the feeling of metal on the inside of our mouths, and the thought of abrasive sores as our mouths grow accustomed to its presence. Food caught in the braces. A new alternative

Invisalign is a computer-designed series of clear plastic trays that fit over your teeth to gradually move them from their current misalignment to a perfectly straight smile. To straighten your teeth, you wear the trays all day, removing them only for eating and cleaning your teeth (much easier since there's no braces to catch food!), and every two weeks you switch from one tray to the next. In about a year, your teeth have been moved into perfect alignment.
Invisalign has many benefits:
- They are more comfortable than metal braces
- They require no tightening visits
- They are less visible than metal braces
- Because they are removable, they do not interfere with eating, brushing or flossing
