Digital Dental Impressions

Do You Like Having Dental Impressions Taken?

Not many people do.

Wouldn’t it be nice to avoid having bad tasting goo placed in your mouth? Wouldn’t it be nice to avoid gagging and retaking of impressions? Fortunately, this is all now possible with the Itero Digital Impression System.

Using a laser photo lens, a 3-Dimensional image can be taken of your teeth and electronically sent to the dental lab for fabrication of crowns, veneers, and bridges. It is a highly accurate method of taking impressions meaning that remakes are almost non-existent. More importantly, it is far more comfortable for you.

What Can I Do About Bad Breath?

If you think you have bad breath, also called halitosis, make sure you get regular, professional dental cleanings. The easiest way to combat bad breath is to visit us regularly, so you can get screened for dry mouth, gum disease (periodontal disease), or other causes of bad breath.

In between dental visits you need to practice excellent oral hygiene. Brushing and flossing twice a day is the first step, and include brushing your tongue, because bacteria build up there as well as on teeth and gums. If you have dentures, make sure you are removing and carefully cleaning them every night, so that they will be odor-free when you replace them in your mouth.
